Knit-along lil'Doggy

I have found Knitting to be a great therapy and wonderful for stress relief ... life is never dull, and more often hectic and crazy :), being able to pull my knitting out of its bag and even do one or two rows really helps me to refocus and recenter.

Lace ... dishcloths ... scarves ...

I finished the scarf for my DH. It is WIDE - about 14" - and about 5.5' long as you can see because he wanted something he could pull up over his face in the cold weather and I wanted something that he could put across his chest as well. He likes it and it wasn't very hard to make either ... (pic is folded in half over the back of a chair.)

... the cable pattern is a repeat of 6+1 with a border of garter stitches.

Ok, that project completed (12/27/06), :).

My modified "Branching Out" Lace Stole/Prayer Shawl is going well too ... approximately a dozen pattern (row) repeats accomplished - and two more balls of yarn to go!! ... I'm excited about how this is turning out. I will definitely repeat this pattern in the future, but next time I will be using something exotic - cashmere, alpaca, angora, or perhaps silk!

I have also signed up with seveal yahoo!groups over the holiday. A couple are KAL (Knit A Long) lists. I'm following them with excitement :D ... the Dishcloth list has already begun sharing it's January dishcloth pattern - we're on Day 2 and row 19 :) ... done, and done! I am fudging the pattern a little - since I don't have #7(4.5mm) needles yet, I decided to use a pair of #6, loosely. I'm tickled to have another outlet for my obsession! :).

So, my Obsession of the Kneedles remains, and I continue to enjoy every stitch and moment of it!
